Job Role :Estimation Engineer in a construction company is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects. The role involves analyzing project plans, drawings, and specifications to calculate material, labor, and equipment requirements. The Estimation Engineer works closely with project managers, architects, and clients to provide competitive and realistic project cost projections, support tender submissions, and ensure that projects are financially feasible and profitable.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Review architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and project documents
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor work
  • Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and rate analysis
  • Analyze project requirements and suggest cost-effective solutions
  • Prepare tender documents and quotations for clients
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients for accurate estimations
  • Monitor market rates for materials, labor, and equipment
  • Conduct risk analysis and include contingencies in estimates
  • Assist in budgeting and financial planning for projects
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations
  • Maintain cost databases and records for future reference
  • Support negotiation with clients and vendors on project costs
  • Ensure estimates comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulations
