Job Role :   General Manager is responsible for the overall management, strategic planning, and operational efficiency of the co-operative bank. The role involves overseeing all banking functions including finance, credit, operations, compliance, risk management, and business development to ensure profitability, sustainability, and regulatory compliance. 

Key Responsibilities : 
Provide strategic leadership and direction for all bank operations, including retail, corporate, and treasury functions.
Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, RBI / NABARD / cooperative banking regulations, and internal policies.
Oversee credit appraisal, sanction, and recovery processes to maintain asset quality.
Monitor financial performance, profitability, cost control, and balance sheet management.
Lead business development initiatives to expand customer base and banking products.
Implement risk management strategies to mitigate operational, credit, and market risks.
Supervise and mentor senior management and departmental heads to achieve organizational goals.
Ensure adoption of modern banking technologies and digital banking initiatives.
Represent the bank in external forums, regulators, and stakeholder meetings.
Review and approve major banking policies, operational procedures, and financial decisions.
