Head Accountant
Job Role : As the Head Accountant, you will oversee the financial accounting function of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely reporting of all financial transactions. You will lead the accounting team, manage external audits and tax compliance, and contribute to strategic financial planning in a fast‑paced infrastructure/real estate business environment.
Key Responsibilities : Lead the accounting team and oversee activities such as general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, payroll and month‑end/year‑end close. Prepare, review and analyse financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for internal and statutory purposes. Ensure that all accounting entries comply with applicable accounting standards (e.g., Indian GAAP/Ind AS) and regulatory requirements. Coordinate and manage external and internal audit processes, liaising with auditors, ensuring audit schedules and addressing audit findings. Oversee tax compliance including GST, TDS, corporate income tax, property/wealth tax (as applicable), ensure timely filing of returns and respond to tax queries.

- Other Skill Required: Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards (Ind AS/IGAAP), corporate tax laws, GST, TDS, and other relevant regulations. Proven experience in managing audits, financial close, and team leadership. Excellent analytical and problem‐solving skills; ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights. Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills. High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross‐functional teams.
