Job Role : IT Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing the bank’s information technology systems to ensure smooth, secure, and efficient banking operations. The role involves overseeing core banking software, maintaining network infrastructure, ensuring data security, managing IT support services, and coordinating with vendors for software and hardware solutions. The IT Manager also ensures compliance with banking regulations, supports digital banking initiatives, safeguards customer data, and provides technical guidance to staff.

Key Responsibilities : 

• Manage and maintain the Core Banking System (CBS) and related applications.
• Ensure smooth functioning of the bank’s IT infrastructure and network systems.
• Monitor system performance, uptime, and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Implement and maintain data security, cybersecurity, and backup procedures.
• Manage servers, databases, and storage systems of the bank.
• Coordinate with software vendors and IT service providers.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines related to IT in banking.
• Implement data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
• Maintain ATM, internet banking, and mobile banking systems (if applicable).
• Provide technical support and training to bank staff.
• Monitor and control IT risks and system vulnerabilities.
• Maintain documentation of IT policies, procedures, and system configurations.
• Manage procurement and maintenance of IT hardware and software.
• Conduct regular system audits and security checks.
• Plan and implement IT upgrades and new technology solutions.
• Ensure proper user access control and data confidentiality.
• Monitor logs and detect suspicious system activities.
• Support digital banking initiatives and automation projects.
• Coordinate with auditors for IT audit and compliance requirements.
