Job Role :   Librarian is responsible for managing and maintaining the academic library to support teaching, learning, and research activities of students and faculty. The role involves organizing library resources, providing information services, promoting effective use of library facilities, and ensuring access to both print and digital learning materials in accordance with institutional and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities : 

• Manage day-to-day operations of the college library Select, acquire, and organize books, journals, e-resources, and database
• Classify, catalog, and maintain library materials using standard systems
• Assist students and faculty in locating and using library resources
• Maintain digital library systems and library management software
• Ensure proper circulation, issue, and return of library materials
• Maintain library records, stock registers, and accession registers
• Organize library orientation programs and information literacy sessions
• Support research and academic activities of students and staff
• Maintain a quiet, user-friendly, and inclusive library environment
• Prepare reports and data for accreditation, NAAC, and audits
• Coordinate with faculty for curriculum-based resource development
