Job Role : Librarian is responsible for managing the school library and fostering a culture of reading, research, and information literacy among students and staff. This role involves organizing and maintaining physical and digital library resources, assisting students and teachers in finding and using materials effectively, and promoting reading programs and activities. The Librarian ensures that the library is a welcoming, organized, and safe environment, supports curriculum needs, and helps students develop skills in research, critical thinking, and independent learning.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage and maintain the school library, including books, journals, and digital resources.
  • Catalog, classify, and organize library materials for easy access.
  • Assist students and staff in locating and using library resources.
  • Promote reading habits through programs, competitions, and storytelling sessions.
  • Monitor library usage and maintain circulation records.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized library environment.
  • Coordinate with teachers to support curriculum-related research and projects.
  • Conduct orientation sessions for students on library rules and research skills.
  • Stay updated with new books, publications, and digital learning tools.
