Maintenance Engineer
Job Role : Maintenance Engineer at a high carbon steel wire manufacturing company is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, reliability, and efficiency of all machinery and equipment used in the production of steel wires. This role involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, planning and executing preventive maintenance schedules, and implementing improvements to enhance equipment performance. The Maintenance Engineer works closely with production teams to minimize downtime and ensure that production targets are met without compromising safety or quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and execute preventive and predictive maintenance for all production machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic failures in wire drawing machines, rolling mills, heat treatment furnaces, and related equipment.
- Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective measures.
- Maintain and update maintenance records, equipment logs, and spare parts inventory.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to optimize machine performance and minimize downtime.
- Recommend and implement equipment upgrades or modifications to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of workplace safety.
- Train and guide maintenance technicians on best practices and proper use of equipment.
- Coordinate with vendors for repair, replacement, or calibration of specialized equipment.
- Monitor machine performance metrics and prepare regular reports for management.
