Job Role :  Mechanical Engineer at an Educational Trust is responsible for planning, designing, supervising, and maintaining all mechanical systems and services across campus facilities. This includes HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), plumbing, fire protection, laboratory and workshop equipment, building services, and other mechanical installations. The role ensures systems are efficient, safe, compliant with regulations, and aligned with the Trust’s operational needs. The Mechanical Engineer collaborates with architects, civil and electrical engineers, project managers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to support both new construction and ongoing facility operations.

Key Responsibilities : 

  • Design and oversee mechanical systems for campus buildings including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Prepare mechanical plans, specifications, and technical documentation for new facilities and renovation projects.
  • Evaluate equipment needs, perform load calculations, and select appropriate mechanical equipment and materials.
  • Coordinate mechanical design and integration with architectural and other engineering disciplines.
  • Visit sites regularly to monitor installation quality, safety, and adherence to design intent.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical system issues and recommend solutions for operational challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
