Mechanical Engineer
Job Role : Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the manufacturing of mechanical components and structural assemblies used in electrical power transmission and distribution equipment. The role involves preparing detailed fabrication drawings, ensuring product durability, structural strength, thermal performance, and compliance with industry standards. The engineer collaborates closely with electrical design, production, quality, and project teams to ensure timely execution of projects and cost-effective manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design mechanical structures and enclosures for electrical equipment
- Prepare 2D/3D drawings using CAD software
- Develop fabrication drawings and BOM (Bill of Materials)
- Conduct load, stress, and thermal calculations
- Coordinate with electrical engineers for integrated designs
- Support production team during fabrication and assembly
- Ensure compliance with industry and safety standards
- Optimize material selection and cost efficiency
- Conduct site measurements when required
- Assist in prototype development and testing
- Resolve design and manufacturing issues
- Prepare technical documentation and reports
- Coordinate with vendors for outsourced components
- Monitor quality standards during production
- Implement design modifications based on client requirements
- Participate in project planning and execution meetings
- Ensure timely completion of assigned engineering tasks
