Network Engineer
Job Role : As Network Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, securing, and optimizing the bank’s IT network infrastructure. The role ensures uninterrupted connectivity, secure banking operations, and smooth functioning of core banking systems across branches.
Key Responsibilities : Manage, monitor, and maintain the bank’s LAN, WAN, VPN, and branch connectivity. Ensure high availability of core banking network and related systems. Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices. Implement network security policies, firewall rules, and access controls. Monitor network performance and proactively resolve issues. Conduct regular network health checks, patching, and updates. Coordinate with service providers (ISP, MPLS, leased lines) for uptime and issue resolution. Maintain network diagrams, documentation, and compliance records. Ensure data protection, backup, and disaster recovery readiness.

- Other Skill Required: Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLAN, MPLS). Hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper routers and switches. Good understanding of firewall technologies (FortiGate, SonicWall, Palo Alto). Knowledge of VPNs, encryption, and network security standards. Familiarity with banking IT systems (CBS, ATM, RTGS/NEFT connectivity) is an advantage. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle critical outages.
