Job Role :   Purchase Assistant in an Equipment Manufacturing Company supports the procurement process by assisting in sourcing, ordering, and managing materials, components, and equipment required for manufacturing operations. The role involves maintaining vendor relationships, ensuring timely deliveries, tracking purchase orders, and helping maintain inventory levels. The Purchase Assistant ensures smooth coordination between suppliers, production, and accounts to facilitate efficient operations and cost-effective procurement. 

Key Responsibilities : 

  • Assist in sourcing and procuring raw materials, components, and equipment required for manufacturing
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders under supervision
  • Maintain records of purchase orders, invoices, and supplier details
  • Track deliveries and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely receipt of materials
  • Assist in vendor evaluation and maintaining supplier performance records
  • Coordinate with production and stores teams for material requirements
  • Ensure accuracy of billing, invoicing, and payments in coordination with the accounts team
  • Maintain inventory records and assist in stock reconciliation
  • Support in negotiating prices, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures
  • Assist in preparing reports on procurement, stock levels, and vendor performance
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding order confirmations, delays, or discrepancies
  • Handle documentation related to purchase, shipment, and quality inspection
