Job Role : Purchase Executive in a construction company is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, equipment, and services required for construction projects. The role ensures timely availability of quality materials at competitive prices while maintaining cost control, supplier relationships, and compliance with company policies. The Purchase Executive works closely with site engineers, project managers, and accounts teams to support smooth project execution. 
 
Key Responsibilities :  

  • Procure construction materials, tools, equipment, and services
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and vendors
  • Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate terms
  • Prepare purchase orders and follow up on deliveries
  • Ensure timely supply of materials as per project requirements
  • Coordinate with site teams for material planning and consumption
  • Monitor inventory levels and avoid shortages or excess stock
  • Verify material quality and compliance with specifications
  • Maintain purchase records, supplier data, and documentation
  • Coordinate with accounts for invoice verification and payments
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies
  • Control material costs and support budget objectives
  • Handle vendor performance evaluation and issue resolution
  • Assist in contract and rate finalization for materials and services
