Quantity Surveyor
Job Role : The Quantity Surveyor (QS) is responsible for managing all financial and contractual aspects of construction projects. The role ensures projects are delivered within budget, monitors costs, prepares estimates, manages contracts, and provides financial reporting. The QS works closely with project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, and clients to achieve efficient project delivery while maintaining quality and compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies for construction projects. Manage tendering processes, including preparation of bills of quantities (BOQ), evaluation of bids, and contractor selection. Monitor project costs, track expenditure, and ensure projects are completed within budget. Review and negotiate contracts, variations, claims, and payment applications with contractors and suppliers. Collaborate with procurement teams to source materials, subcontractors, and services cost-effectively. Conduct site visits to verify work progress, quality, and adherence to specifications. Maintain accurate financial records, cost reports, and documentation for management and clients. Provide value engineering advice and recommend cost-saving measures without compromising quality. Identify and mitigate financial and contractual risks associated with projects.

Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
