Safety Engineer
Job Role : Safety Engineer is responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices at construction sites to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company safety policies. The role involves identifying hazards, conducting safety training, enforcing safe work practices, and promoting a strong safety culture to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
Key Responsibilities :
- Implement and enforce site safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments
- Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with safety laws, rules, and regulations
- Conduct safety inductions and toolbox talks for workers
- Monitor use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses
- Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation
- Coordinate with site engineers and contractors on safety matters
- Ensure proper safety signage and barricading at site
- Monitor lifting operations, scaffolding, and work-at-height activities
- Support audits and inspections by authorities and clients
