Job Role :  Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment by implementing safety policies, identifying hazards, conducting inspections, and training employees on safety practices. With a background in chemistry, the Safety Officer will also manage chemical safety, proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.

Key Responsibilities : Conduct regular safety inspections of the workplace, equipment, and processes. Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions. Develop and implement safety policies, SOPs, and emergency response plans. Train employees on workplace safety, chemical handling, PPE usage, and first aid. Monitor storage, labeling, and safe usage of chemicals in compliance with regulations. Conduct risk assessments for chemical processes and operational activities. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and corrective plans. Ensure compliance with safety standards such as ISO, OSHA, and local regulatory requirements. Maintain records of inspections, safety drills, permits, and compliance documents. Coordinate with management, production, and laboratory teams to improve safety practices.
