Science Teacher
Job Role : Science Teacher in a school is responsible for teaching scientific concepts and fostering curiosity, inquiry, and analytical thinking among students. The teacher delivers lessons in subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and General Science (based on grade level), using experiments, demonstrations, and interactive methods to make learning engaging. They assess student understanding, encourage critical thinking, maintain a safe laboratory and classroom environment, and support overall intellectual growth and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan and deliver science lessons according to the school curriculum.
- Conduct experiments and demonstrations to reinforce scientific concepts.
- Develop lesson plans, worksheets, and learning resources.
- Assess student performance through tests, projects, and assignments.
- Encourage observation, inquiry, and critical thinking skills.
- Maintain laboratory safety and proper use of equipment.
- Provide individual support to students struggling with concepts.
- Integrate technology and multimedia tools into science teaching.
- Communicate student progress to parents and school administration.
- Organize science fairs, competitions, and extra-curricular activities.
