Secondary Teacher
Job Role : Secondary Teacher is responsible for delivering lessons to students typically aged 11 to 16 years, covering specific subjects such as Mathematics, Science, English, Social Studies, or Languages. The role involves planning and executing lessons in line with the school curriculum, assessing student understanding, fostering critical thinking, and creating an engaging classroom environment. The Secondary Teacher also mentors students, monitors academic progress, communicates with parents, and contributes to school activities to support holistic development and academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan and deliver lessons according to the curriculum for assigned subjects.
- Teach core subjects such as Mathematics, Science, Languages, and Social Studies.
- Use diverse teaching methods to engage students and promote critical thinking.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through tests, assignments, and projects.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
- Prepare teaching materials, lab experiments, presentations, and visual aids.
- Identify students requiring additional support and provide guidance or remedial classes.
- Communicate regularly with parents about student performance and behavior.
- Encourage participation in co-curricular activities, debates, and competitions.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and progress reports.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
