Shop Supervisor
Job Role : Shop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily workshop/shop floor operations in an engineering company, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are met. The role involves supervising technicians and operators, coordinating with engineering and quality teams, and maintaining efficient workflow within the shop.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise day-to-day shop floor operations and workforce
- Allocate work to technicians and operators as per production plans
- Ensure jobs are completed on time and according to drawings and specifications
- Monitor machine utilization, productivity, and workflow
- Ensure compliance with safety rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards
- Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams
- Inspect work in progress and finished components for quality
- Maintain production records, shift reports, and material usage logs
- Identify process issues and suggest improvements
- Train and guide shop floor personnel
