Social Science Teacher
Job Role : Social Science Teacher is responsible for teaching concepts related to society, culture, social institutions, social change, and human behavior. The role includes preparing lesson plans, delivering lectures, conducting discussions, evaluating student progress, and encouraging critical thinking about social issues.
Key Responsibilities :
Teach sociology concepts at the appropriate academic level (higher secondary/college).
Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, presentations, and assessments.
Conduct classroom discussions, seminars, projects, and group activities.
Explain sociological theories, research methods, and current social issues.
Evaluate student assignments, quizzes, exams, and research work.
Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and support to students.
Encourage critical thinking, analytical skills, and awareness of social diversity.
Maintain academic records, attendance, and evaluation documentation.
Participate in department meetings, curriculum development, and faculty activities.
Organize workshops, field visits, and co-curricular activities related to sociology.
Stay updated on social trends, research developments, and educational practices.
