Storekeeper
Job Role : Storekeeper is responsible for managing the inventory of raw materials, finished products, tools, and spare parts in the manufacturing facility. This role ensures that materials are accurately received, stored, and issued to production and maintenance teams as needed. The Storekeeper plays a key role in maintaining stock accuracy, preventing shortages, and supporting smooth production operations while adhering to safety and organizational procedures.
Key Responsibilities :
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, components, and spare parts.
- Maintain organized storage of raw materials, finished goods, and tools in the warehouse.
- Issue materials and supplies to production and maintenance teams as per requisitions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using manual logs or inventory management software.
- Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile discrepancies.
- Coordinate with procurement to report low stock levels and reorder requirements.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage conditions, and safe handling of materials.
- Manage the return of surplus or defective materials to suppliers or stores.
- Implement and follow safety and housekeeping standards in the warehouse.
- Prepare reports on stock movement, usage patterns, and inventory levels for management.
