Storekeeper
Job Role : Storekeeper in a company that provides comprehensive contracting and building services is responsible for managing and controlling the storage, receipt, and issuance of electrical materials and equipment used in construction and engineering projects. The role involves maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring proper storage of electrical items, coordinating with procurement and project teams, and monitoring stock levels to support uninterrupted project execution. The storekeeper also ensures that all materials are handled safely, documented properly, and issued according to project requirements while maintaining quality and accountability.
Key Responsibilities :
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming electrical materials and equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory and stock records in the store system.
- Issue materials to site engineers and technicians as per requirements.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the procurement team.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of electrical components.
- Maintain documentation such as GRN, material issue slips, and stock registers.
- Conduct regular stock verification and inventory audits.
- Coordinate with purchase and project teams for material planning.
- Ensure store cleanliness, safety, and organization.
- Track damaged, unused, or excess materials and report accordingly.
