Works Manager
Job Role : Works Manager is responsible for managing all operations of the automobile showroom’s workshop/service department. This role ensures high-quality vehicle servicing, efficient workflow, timely delivery, customer satisfaction, and achievement of revenue targets. The Works Manager supervises technicians, coordinates service activities, and implements processes to maintain workshop standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage daily operations of the showroom’s workshop/service department
- Plan and allocate service jobs efficiently among technicians
- Ensure timely and high-quality vehicle repairs, servicing, and maintenance
- Supervise, train, and evaluate service staff and technicians
- Monitor workshop productivity, efficiency, and revenue targets
- Handle escalated customer complaints and ensure satisfaction
- Coordinate with spare parts and inventory teams for availability of parts
- Maintain service documentation, job cards, and warranty claims
- Implement safety, housekeeping, and operational procedures in the workshop
- Monitor technician performance and provide coaching or corrective measures
- Conduct periodic audits and quality checks of serviced vehicles
- Coordinate with sales, finance, and insurance teams for smooth operations
- Develop strategies to improve service efficiency, customer satisfaction, and revenue
